Ali Khalili-Araghi

I'm Ali Khalili-Araghi, a PhD student at School of Interactive Arts and Technology. I'm also a research assistant at SCIENCE Lab under supervision of Prof. Brian Fisher. My main research focus is on collaborative multi-agent systems, focusing on decision support tools for Safety and Security domains.

I have a B.Sc. in Software Engineering at University of Tehran, Iran. I also finished my M.Sc. in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University with the focus on Software Engineering. I had a good supervision from Prof. Uwe Glässer. The main focus of my Master studies was towards the Marine Safety and Security Operation Centres, and providing an Intelligent Decision Support architecture for the system used in the centres. The results have been published in some papers which you can find in the Publication section.

Currently, I'm working on a project related to Emergency Operation Centres in Vancouver. We are extending the functionalities of the system being used in these centres to provide virtual capabilities. This can help decision makers to fully manage the emergency situations without being physically present at the centre.
